The House Code: Three Gym Rules for a Better Training Floor

A good gym culture is easier to recognize than to advertise. It shows up in what people do after the set and how they treat everyone sharing the room.

01

Return the weights

Put plates, dumbbells, and attachments back where they belong. The next member should not have to clear your session before starting theirs.

02

Wipe down equipment

Clean the bench, pad, handle, or machine after use. It takes little time and keeps the shared floor ready.

03

Respect members and staff

Give people room to train and learn. Serious effort does not require an intimidating atmosphere, and experience does not give anyone more claim to the floor.

This rule matters most because it applies everywhere: at the rack, in the locker room, and in every conversation.

04

Everyone carries part of the standard

House of Iron can post the rules. Members make them visible. Return the weights, wipe down equipment, and treat people with respect.
